- Official Google Pixel 9A images appear to have just leaked
- They offer four colors including what appears to be a new purple version.
- Google also appears to be ditching the iconic camera bump.
If rumors are to be believed, the Google Pixel 9A could make its debut sometime later this month—but while we wait, a slew of leaked images have made their way online, showing off the mid-range phone.
These images come from well-known tipster evLeaks, and they appear to be official marketing images from Google. We get a look at all four colors — Obsidian (black), Porcelain (white), Peony (pink), and Iris (purple) — though it’s the purple that stands out the most.
Some of the key Android features are on display in these images, such as access to Google's Gemini AI assistant, and built-in anti-theft protection. There are also some lifestyle shots showing the phone being used in a variety of scenarios.

One of the photos shows the Pixel 9A being splashed with water, which leads us to believe that it will retain the IP67 dust and water resistance of the Google Pixel 8A that was launched last year, which this phone will replace.
Ready for success
These leaked images also give us a closer look at a seemingly controversial design choice made by the Pixel 9A: the iconic Pixel camera bar is reversed, with the rear camera sitting almost flush with the back of the device.
You can see from one of these images that there appears to be a very slight camera bump – and we do mean slight. This suggests that the phone won’t actually lie flat on its back when you put it down.
It's a bold move for Google to move away from the single design choice that made the Pixel series special, but it's one that's been rumored for a while. Google likely wants its mid-range phones and flagships to look a lot like each other.
Whatever the thinking, it will all be official soon. Most rumors indicate that To Wednesday, March 19, as the Pixel 9A launch date – and of course, as soon as Google announces it, we'll bring you the news here.
